It's been a year since the Orioles fired Dave Trembley as manager. He was replaced by Juan Samuel on an interim basis before the team hired Buck Showalter. Here are the top 10 managers in Orioles history based on wins:

I'm not a hater by any means but I can't see how Trembly makes this list. You would think the top ten managers of all time for this franchise couldn't include a man who never won during his tenure in Baltimore. Trembly seemed like a nice guy and a good man, but he did nothing while he was here. I often felt bad for him, as I have for any man who managed the orioles this decade. Interesting article.

Ned Hanlon won 1313 games overall, including 555 while managing the Baltimore Orioles. His career winning percentage in Baltimore was .601, and he won three consecutive NL pennants. He practically invented "small ball" (then called "scientific baseball") with such innovations as the hit-and-run, sacrifice bunt, and Baltimore Chop. Ned Hanlon is in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown as a Baltimore Oriole.
