The Orioles will be represented by three members of their front office at next week's general manager meetings in Chicago.

President of baseball operations Andy MacPhail, special assistant Wayne Krivsky and director of baseball operations Matt Klentak will attend the meetings, which run Tuesday and Wednesday.

Unlike the winter meetings in December, the general manager meetings are considered more of a low-key gathering in which little news is typically made. Free agents, for instance, cannot be signed by a new club until mid-November.

Much of the time spent in Chicago will be in meetings with a "Major League Baseball-driven agenda," according to MacPhail.

"I don't anticipate a great amount of [trade] activity to be consummated there," MacPhail said. "But, that said, some early trades are already being made, so you never know."

The Orioles' 40-man roster now sits at 33 after the team's four pending free agents, third baseman Melvin Mora, catcher Chad Moeller and pitchers Danys Baez and Mark Hendrickson, filed for free agency on Thursday, the first day they were eligible.

The club could re-sign any of the quartet, with Hendrickson being the most likely to re-sign.
