Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding
Tonya attacks Nancy
Tonya Harding, right, was banned from figure skating competitively after she and ex-husband Jeff Gillooly hired men to attack Nancy Kerrigan, left, at a practice session in 1994. Kerrigan was clubbed in the knee, preventing her from taking part in the Olympic trials. The United States Olympic Committee gave her a spot on the team all the same and the same year Kerrigan went on to win the silver medal in the Lillehammer Olympics. |
