When: Feb. 6, 8.

Best of the U.S.: Chas Guldemond, Sage Kotsenburg.

Best of the rest: Mark McMorris of Canada would be favored but suffered a broken rib in a fall at the X Games. He still hopes to compete in Sochi.

U.S. chances to medal: With Shaun White's late withdrawal, it will be up to Guldemond and Kotsenburg to prevent the Canadians from owning the podium.

Little-known fact: McMorris is the co-star of an MTV reality series with brother Craig. From the series trailer, Mark spells it out: “I get to snowboard all around the world with all my friends, pretty much have as much fun as we can. And that's all we do.”
