underwent emergency stomach surgery in his native Serbia on Saturday.
Doctors said in a statement that Divac was admitted to a Belgrade hospital after feeling "strong pains in his stomach." However, his life was not threatened. His health problem was not specified.
Divac, 46, heads the Serbian Olympic Committee. He played in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings from 1989-2005 and averaged 11.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.
