Report: Ex-Bulls assistant Adams to join Warriors

The Golden State Warriors reportedly are adding former Chicago Bulls assistant coach Ron Adams to their coaching staff.

The Boston Herald reported that Adams, a highly respected assistant who served last season with the Boston Celtics, accepted an offer from the Warriors on Monday. Adams is a California native.

The Warriors coveted David Blatt, who had a successful 20-year coaching career in Europe, but he took the Cleveland Cavaliers head coaching job late last week.

Adams, who was Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau's top assistant before being dismissed last year by general manager Gar Forman, is considered a strong defensive mind to help new head coach Steve Kerr.
