Oklahoma looks to avenge last year's shocking 30-13 home loss to Notre Dame when it visits South Bend. The win legitimized Notre Dame as a national title contender and improved its all-time record over Oklahoma to 9-1. The Sooners' lone win in the series came in 1956
We'll find out if Mississippi is really on the rise when the Rebels put their No. 21 ranking on the line at No.1 Alabama. The Crimson Tide struggled at home Saturday before finally dispatching Colorado State, and Ole Miss enjoyed a week off after its big win at Texas.
Louisiana State at Georgia. Both schools might have been caught looking ahead to this East vs. West division showdown in the Southeastern Conference. LSU had a tough time putting Auburn away in Baton Rouge and Georgia labored more than it should have in Athens against North Texas.
Wisconsin won the Big Ten Leaders division last year because Ohio State was ineligible due to NCAA sanctions. That's not the case this year as the Badgers head to Columbus. Wisconsin is 1-0 in Big Ten play after a win over Purdue, and this is Ohio State's conference opener.
Cal it the "Midnight Special." Fresno State will take its No. 25 ranking and 3-0 record to Hawaii for a game that will kick off on Sunday morning in the East. How many voting coaches and writers do you think will stay awake for the end? The guess here is three.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
