Tyler Flowers will give Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski a day off, as the Sox try to make it two victories in a row over the Tigers.
Flowers will catch Gavin Floyd, who has a 2-1 record and 3.35 earned-run average against the Tigers in eight starts at U. S. Cellular Field. The Tigers will start lefty Adam Wilk, making the decision to start Flowers easier. He is a right-handed hitter.
