Loyola Maryland coach Charley Toomey and Johns Hopkins coach Dave Pietramala said Saturday's game will not be the last between their programs even though the Blue Jays' schedule will change as it joins the Big Ten next season.

There have already been phone conversations between the coaches, and they talked before Saturday's game, which No. 1 Loyola won, 13-10, over the No. 6 Blue Jays.

The two teams met for the 52nd time Saturday at a sold-out Ridley Athletic Complex in a series that dates back to 1939. The Greyhounds have won the last two games.

"We both believe it is important for both our resumes," Pietramala said, referring to how he and Toomey view the series. "Look at the crowd we had last year at Johns Hopkins, look at crowd this year at Loyola University. It's a playoff atmosphere and prepares you for the playoffs. So he and I are committed to do everything we can to find a place to put it. We think it's great game for both institutions, and it's a great game for the community. We don't want to lose it."
