It will be interesting to see how Loyola Maryland defends Albany this weekend in their NCAA men's lacrosse tournament first-round game and how that might change the Greyhounds offense.

The Great Danes have the Thompson trio -- attackmen Miles (74 goals, 34 assists) and younger brother Lyle (45, 69) as well as cousin Ty (36, 12), also an attackman. Albany has outscored the opposition 261-184 this season and has converted on 32 of 62 extra-man opportunities.

Loyola likes to run, that sometimes that style of play also produces turnovers. Loyola had 21 a week ago against Johns Hopkins, and Greyhounds coach Charley Toomey said he was concerned. So, will the Greyhounds slow down their pace and become more deliberate against Albany, or will they continue to push the ball?

Toomey isn't showing his hand yet, but slowing down the Thompsons could take the Greyhounds out of rhythm as well.
