The Tewaaraton Foundation, which will award the Tewaaraton Award to the nation’s top lacrosse player after the conclusion of the NCAA tournament on Memorial Day, announced the addition of two players to the award’s watch list, and one of the players is a Millersville native and Severna Park graduate.
Senior goalkeeper Jeff Lowman of No. 11 St. John’s is tied for 10th in Division I in saves per game (12.7) and ranks 12th in save percentage (.575) and 31st in goals-against average (10.05). Lowman set the program’s record for career saves with 587 stops before leaving in the first half of the Red Storm’s eventual 14-13 overtime loss to Georgetown last Saturday.
Senior defenseman Anthony Santomo of No. 18 Penn was the second name added to the list.
