Quint Kessenich: Breaking down the conference tournaments

I love the format for the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament. There are eight automatic and eight at-large bids, giving about 40 of the 63 Division I teams a legitimate shot at cracking the bracket. This provides mid-major athletic administrators a reason to invest in the sport, and it makes every game in April meaningful. The goal for most teams is to get into their conference tournament, get hot and get the automatic qualifier — or do well enough to merit at-large consideration. Let's check in with the races for the eight conference AQs and see who the top contenders are. —Quint Kessenich, For The Baltimore SunBy Quint Kessenich, For The Baltimore Sun
