Quint Kessenich: History says these teams are the contenders

History has shown that in college lacrosse, May moments have nothing to do with results in February and March. The regular season isn't about winning and losing -- it's about improving. Fans try to predict NCAA title winners by identifying the best team, but that isn't necessarily the correct strategy. History shows that while sometimes the best team wins the championship, it's rare for that squad to be the best six weeks out.
