Mount St. Joseph sophomore midfielder Drew Harrison has orally committed to play lacrosse at Maryland.
A member of the Chesapeake Rock, the 5-foot-9, 160-pound recruit played varsity as a freshman. Harrison was named an All-Star at the MVP camp. He also considered Towson and Navy.
Freshman oral commitment
Attackman Alex Trippi of Bullis School in Potomac has committed to North Carolina. Since the summer, he has attended Jake Reed's Blue Chip, Crabfeast, Philly Invitational and National High School Lacrosse Showcase, earning Fab 40 All-Star honors at the Philly Freshman Showcase in Invitational.
Trippi's summer highlight reel with MadLax and Bullis can be seen here. He also plays football and basketball for the Bulldogs. He considered Virginia, Hopkins, Maryland and Ohio State as well.
Junior oral commitments
Attackman-midfielder Matt Sovero of Saints Peter & Paul in Easton has committed to Towson. Playing for Chesapeake Rock, he was an All-Star at Baltimore Summer Kickoff, also attending the Brine National Classic, Tri-State, Under Armour Shootout and Crab City Challenge.
Midfielder John Duffy of Lincoln High in Portland, Ore., has committed to Loyola Maryland. A member of the West Coast Starz, he attended National Scholastic Club Lacrosse Association, Adrenaline Black Card, Adrenaline Showcase and Terrapin Classic, picking up Adrenaline Shootout and High Rollers All-Star honors. He also considered Notre Dame, Georgetown, Navy, Drexel, Rutgers and Fairfield.
Midfielder Sammy Edwards of Beverly Hills (Calif.) High has committed to Loyola Maryland. Playing for the West Coast Starz and L.A. Lazers, he was an All-Star at Adrenaline Showcase, Adrenaline Shootout and Adrenaline High Rollers, also attending NSCLA and Terrapin Classic. The 5-10, 160-pound junior also considered Syracuse, Denver, Bucknell and Furman, among others.
St. Paul's midfielder Jack Pollard has committed to Navy. Pollard, standing 6-1 and 200 pounds, ran second midfield for the Crusaders last spring and is also a two-year starter at defensive end-linebacker for the back-to-back champions in football. Playing with the Baltimore Crabs, he was an All-Star at at King of the Hill, also attending Adrenaline Black Card, NSCLA, Nike Blue Chip, Under Armour Shootout and NHSLS and the Maryland Freestate Games.
