A 6-7 junior attackman from Silver Spring, Wright might be the tallest player in Division I lacrosse. "He has a tremendous overhand release point," coach Chris Gabrielli said. "When he shoots overhand, he is driving the ball down from a 10-foot trajectory. Goalies have a hard time finding the ball." After 11 games, the Good Counsel grad has 30 goals on 38.5 percent shooting and nine assists for the Friars (7-4). "If we can get him eight to 10 shots per game, and he mixes up location, he will usually get three or four goals," Gabrielli said. Wright is a determined leader. "He brings it every day and demands that of his teammates," Gabrielli said. "His father was a decorated Division I basketball player who passed away when Sean was young. I believe that Sean's drive and athleticism stems from his dad."
