Cornell at Maryland -- Saturday, 5 p.m.

The Terps seniors played for the national title in 2011 and 2012 but got dusted last year in the first round against Cornell. Maryland coach John Tillman squares off against his alma mater, looking for revenge. Both schools were highly ranked in March but have struggled since. The Big Red was 9-0 but finished 2-4, giving up 11.3 goals per game. Maryland cooled off as well, going 4-3 after a 7-0 start as the offense became one-dimensional. The Terps' strength is defense, the nation's best at 6.93 goals allowed per game. Goalkeeper Niko Amato is a brick wall. Cornell must score in transition and on extra-man if it's are going to upset Maryland again. The matchups to watch will be Big Red penetrators Matt Donovan and Connor Buczek against defenders Goran Murray (pictured) and Michael Ehrhardt. This game smells low-scoring and slow-paced.
