John Carroll graduate is a spectacular finisher. Ancarrow was named last season's Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and this year's preseason Player of the Year. In the 2012 regular season, she led the CAA in average goals (2.52), was third in average points (3.31) and fourth in draw controls (2.69). On April 13, she tore an anterior cruciate ligament -- her second ACL tear -- and missed the postseason. She redshirted her freshman year after her other ACL tear, then returned the next season to win CAA Rookie of the Year honors. (JMU Athletics /March 24, 2012)
Amonte Hiller, in just her 12thseason, is 198-30.
Her seven-time national champion Wildcats have averaged 18 wins since she took over the rejuvenated program in 2002. They were 5-10 their first season, 8-8 the following year and 15-3 in 2004. Since then, the Wildcats have won at least 20 games every season and have never lost more than two.
Amonte Hiller would become the ninth Division I coach to reach the 200-win milestone. All of the others have been coaching for at least 17 years. Navy coach Cindy Timchal, who coached Amonte Hiller at Maryland, has won more games than any other college lacrosse coach. She is 414-108 in her 31stseason.
