Lamar Odom, the "Khloe & Lamar" star better known as a professional basketball player, has checked into rehab, according to a report out late Wednesday.
[Updated, 12:50 p.m. Sept. 5: Odom may not be in rehab, according to TMZ, which came out Thursday morning with an updated report citing sources close to the ballplayer. Odom may be merely "off the radar" relative to the Kardashian family, the website said.]
[Updated, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 5: According to People, citing two sources, Odom entered rehab Wednesday morning and left Thursday afternoon with an assistant.]
Two sources confirmed to People magazine on Wednesday that Odom, husband to Khloe Kardashian Odom, had checked himself into a treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction. "He realized he needs help," one source said.
Additionally, sources later told E! News the same.
It's less than a week after Odom was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He was stopped early Friday morning for going too slow on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, driving in a "serpentine manner," police said, and going past three exits before stopping as the CHP tried to pull him over.
The magazine did not say when Odom entered rehab, or where he is.
According to the website, the NBA free agent's wife didn't know her husband had taken the rehab route -- they reportedly haven't spoken since she gave him an ultimatum: rehab or we're done, TMZ said.
There has been no reaction on Kardashian Odom's Twitter page, though she tweeted Sunday, "As much as I wish I were made of steel ... I'm not. I'm pretty damn close to it though hehe."
[For the Record, 10:17 a.m. Sept. 5: An earlier version of this post listed Odom's age as 32. He is 33.]
[For the Record, 12:50 p.m. Sept. 5: The headline on this post has been changed from "Lamar Odom reportedly enters rehab — did Khloe know?"]
