The Wichita Wingnuts completed a three-game sweep of the Grand Prairie AirHogs with a 13-0 win in Game Three of the American Association Division Series at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Friday night.

Anthony Capra, Andrew Aizenstadt, and Josh Dew combined on Wichita's third straight shutout.  Wingnuts' pitching combined for 30 scoreless innings in the three games.

Wichita scored three times in the bottom of the second and never looked back.  Brent Clevlen led off with a triple off the center field fence and scored on an RBI single to right-center from Abel Nieves.  Nieves took second on a wild pitch and scored on an error by AirHogs' first baseman Andres Rodriguez.  Three batters later, Ryan Khoury poked a double down the right field line to drive in Cole Armstrong with the Wingnuts' third run.

John Rodriguez led off the bottom of the third with a triple down the right field line.  On the next pitch, C.J. Ziegler made it 4-0 with a line drive single to center.

David Amberson and Jard McDonald hit back-to-back singles leading off the bottom of the fourth.  After Khoury laid down a sacrifice bunt, Jake Kahaulelio hit a sacrifice fly to left that scored Amberson.

Khoury hit a one-out, solo home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth to stretch the lead to 6-0.

Wichita broke the game open for good with a four-run bottom of the seventh.  With first and third and one out, Armstrong lifted a sacrifice fly to center that drove in Ziegler from third base.  After Amberson singled through the left side, McDonald tripled to deep left-center to add two more runs.  Khoury capped the inning with an RBI double to right-center.

Clevlen doubled home pinch hitter Madison Beaird with the Wingnuts' 11th run in the bottom of the eighth.  Beaird led off the inning with a line drive single to right-center.  A Nieves groundball to shorstop and an Amberson triple down the left field line provided the game's final margin.

Capra earned the win with seven and one-third scoreless innings.  Capra allowed just three hits, walked one, and struck out nine.

Aizenstadt recorded the final two outs in the eighth, while Dew pitched a perfect top of the ninth to close out the series.

Derek Blacksher took the loss for Grand Prairie, allowing five runs, three earned, on 10 hits in four and one-third innings.  Blacksher walked none and struck out three.

Wichita totaled 19 hits in the win and outscored the AirHogs 21-0 in the series.  Nine different Wingnuts had at least one hit.  Khoury, Ziegler, Clevlen, and Amberson all had three-hit games.  Khoury picked up three RBI.

Game One of the 2013 American Association Championship Series is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10th at either Fargo-Moorhead or Gary SouthShore.  Junior Guerra will start for Wichita.
