The Royals beat an American League Central rival for the first time in ten games Tuesday night, best Chicago 5-3.

Felipe Paulino, who's pitched well since coming over from Colorado in a trade at the end of May, picked up his first win in three decisions as a Royal.

Jeff Francoeur, AlcediesEscobar and Melky Cabrera paced the Royals with two hits each. Bruce Chen gets an afternoon start on Wednesday in Chicago, before the Royals come home for a weekend series with the Detroit Tigers.
