Much like the first half, the Shockers could not avoid a sluggish period, allowing Indiana State to go on a 15-5 run in a span of 8:21. In that time, the Shockers went from down two to down ten. It left a hole that was simply too big for Gregg Marshall's team to climb out of.

Wichita State, the 2-seed, then returned the favor by going more than seven minutes without a field goal. That allowed the Sycamores to tie the game at 20.

The winner of this game will face Missouri State, who defeated Creighton earlier today, in the championship game tomorrow. The winner will secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
