Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown has been selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2nd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Brown was taken with the 56th pick making him the 2nd highest linebacker ever taken out of Kansas State.
Brown, a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita East High School, played two seasons with the Wildcats after originally signing with the Miami Hurricanes out of high school.
In his two years at Kansas State, Brown racked up a total of 201 tackles (solo and assisted), 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and one touchdown. He was named the 2012 Big 12 Defensive player of the year.
Brown started his career signing with the University of Miami out of high school in 2008. Brown soon left the Hurricanes' program to transfer to Kansas State. "I really felt my two years in Miami helped prepare me for the opportunity that lie before me at Kansas State," says Brown. "You know, God knew exactly what he was doing along this journey so I put my trust in Him and I am where I am right now."
