One month after suspending its quest for a hockey coach to re-visit the hiring process and job criteria, a re-vamped search committee has come up with six finalists for the position. Among them are Augsburg College head coach Chris Brown and Air Force associate head coach Michael Corbett, who were previously identified as finalists.

The six men will come to Anchorage between Thursday June 6th and Friday June 14th for on-campus interviews and public forums.

The new finalists are:

Ron Fogarty, head coach at Division III Adrian College since 2006. At Adrian, Fogarty has posted a record of 145-20-6. Prior to that, he spent 10 seasons at the Division I level, between Bowling Green, Clarkson, and Colgate.

Kevin Hartzell, the head coach of the USHL's Sioux Falls Stampede. Hartzell owns over 400 career wins at the junior hockey level and has won two USHL championships.

Dave Peters, the associate head coach at Dartmouth College since 1999. Peters has helped the Big Green earn a top 20 ranking in nine of the past 11 seasons.

Matt Thomas, the head coach of the ECHL's Stockton Thunder. Thomas has coached a total of three ECHL franchises in a career that spans over a decade. His Thunder defeated the Alaska Aces in this season's Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The schedule for on-campus visits is as follows. All six candidates will meet with alumni on their respective night from 6:30 to 7:00, followed by public forums between 7:00 and 7:30 at a site to be determined.
