The Seattle Sounders escaped from New York with a 2-2 draw on Sunday, after falling behind 2-1 at the 60 minute mark.

Fredy Montero came off the bench to score the tying goal, his fifth of the season, 67 minutes into the match on a pass from Brad Evans.

The Sounders got off to an early lead when Alvaro Fernandez slid one in at 16 minutes. But soon after, the New York Red Bulls' Sebastien Le Toux, playing his first match with the team, put in a rebound to tie it at 1.
