The Seattle Storm announced today its official Opening Day roster for the 2011 season. The final 11-player roster includes seven returners from the 2010 team and four newcomers. Highlighting the veteran group are 2010 regular-season and WNBA Finals MVP Lauren Jackson along with Sue Bird, who celebrates her 10th season in Seattle, and All-Star Swin Cash. Complementing the group is veteran All-Star Katie Smith, who joined the team in May.
The Storm waived guard Sharnee Zoll today to finalize its roster. A complete roster is below and attached to this email.
The Storm opens the 2011 season Saturday when it hosts the Phoenix Mercury at 12 noon PT. The game will be televised live on ABC.
