RENTON, Wash. -
Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson was added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster today, replacing John Kuhn who is unable to participate due to injury. This is Robinson's first Pro Bowl appearance.
Robinson, who was a quarterback at Penn State, helped Marshawn Lynch become the Seahawks' first 1,000-yarder rusher since 2005 and score in a club-record 11 consecutive games. He helped the Seahawks average 134.9 yards on the ground the final nine games.
Additionally, Robinson scored the first receiving touchdown of his career, returned a blocked punt for a touchdown, finished tied for third with 10 coverage tackles on special teams and forced a fumble that set up a touchdown.
The Pro Bowl will be played January 29 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, where Robinson will join free safety Earl Thomas, who was voted the starter on the NFC squad. He will join John L. Williams and Mack Strong as Seahawks fullbacks to play in the Pro Bowl.
