Jack Wilson, Jack Cust and Alex Liddi all hit home runs to lead the Seattle Mariners to their third consecutive victory in a 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday afternoon in Cactus League play at Camelback Ranch.


The Mariners improved to 6-4-1 in Cactus League play and have won four of their last five games.


Wilson broke a 1-1 tie with a solo home run in the fourth inning off Dodgers All-Star reliever Hong-Chih Kuo. Cust added to the lead with a two-run shot in the sixth inning and Liddi put the game out of reach with a grand slam in the 5-run seventh inning. Third baseman Chone Figgins went 2-for-3.


Starting pitcher Doug Fister (1-1) earned the win allowing 2 hits, 1 run and striking out 4 in 4.0 innings, the longest effort by a Mariners starter this spring. Right-hander David Pauley added 2.0 shutout innings out of the bullpen with a pair of strikeouts.


The Mariners (6-4-1) continue Cactus League play tomorrow (Thursday, March 10) at 12:05 PT/1:05 MT with a home game against the Los Angeles Angels at Peoria Stadium. Left-handed pitcher Erik Bedard (1-0, 0.00) will make his third spring start for the Mariners against Angels right-hander Matt Palmer.
