INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Marshall Faulk has gone from a human highlight film running back to a person who is seen on a regular basis anlayzing teams and big plays on the NFL Network. Monday morning Faulk stopped by the Fox 59 studios to discuss a number of hot topics in advance of the Colts Monday Night Football game against the Texans. Faulk predicts a close, Colts victory, "probably 3 or 4 points"
On MNF match-up with Houston:
"It will be very interesting to see how Peyton Manning makes his adjustments to the first time they played and more specifically to see how this defense makes its adjustments after what Arian Foster did to them the first time around."
On ESPN's Ron Jaworski saying that that "father time" is catching up with Peyton Manning:
"I'm sure there are some things that if you look at what Peyton did maybe eight years ago, he was much better at that he's not better at now. I'm sure there are some thing he wasn't as good that he is better at now. I will tell you this, he is a field general, he is a leader. You will get the best effort from the Colts offense and he will definitely challenge the defense to get the ball back in his hands."
On the Colts Super Bowl chances, especially with the obstacles they have to overcome:
"This is a Super Bowl team and it's all about getting hot. I still believe they are shaking off the hangover of losing the Super Bowl. It is a tough stench to get off of you. I've been there before as well as winning the Super Bowl....I'm waiting to see if this team is going to get past that bump in the road and continue to win like they were or if losing the Super Bowl is going to weight them down like the ball and chain that it has to most teams in the NFL."
