Graham Motion's Ultra Brat runs away with only Preakness 2018 race on the turf

The Baltimore Sun

Ultra Brat, trained by Fair Hill’s Graham Motion, won the $150,000 Gallorette Stakes in dominating fashion, running away from the field in the only turf race of the day.

Four of the five turf races were moved to the dirt track because of the weather, but Ultra Brat had no trouble on the grass, winning by 10 ½ lengths.

Ridden by Jose Ortiz, Ultra Brat paid $5.40 to win. Blessed Silence was a distant second, followed by Brooks House. The defending Gallorette winner, Cambodia, was scratched.
