After a well-deserved break, when will Triple Crown winner Justify race again?

Staff and wire reports

What will Justify do next?

The Triple Crown winner arrived at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., on Monday for rest and relaxation. He could make a curtain call Saturday at the track where he won the Kentucky Derby.

Trainer Bob Baffert, jockey Mike Smith and Justify's owners will be recognized Saturday night for winning the Derby. Justify could step out on the track the way American Pharoah did in 2015.

Justify will then leave for California and Baffert’s training base Sunday for more rest.

There are three races he could point to before the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs in early November:

» The $1 million Haskell Invitational on July 29 at Monmouth Park in New Jersey.

» The $1 million Pacific Classic at Del Mar (Calif.) on Aug. 18.

» The $1.25 million Travers at Saratoga (N.Y.) on Aug. 25.

If he follows American Pharoah’s lead, he would race in the Travers. But Pharoah was upset in that race in 2015.
