Allegany 6, Hancock 3
CUMBERLAND, Md. — Allegany scored five runs in the first two innings and made that cushion hold up in a win over Hancock in the Maryland Class 1A West Region West Section semifinals.
Darren Lashley and Chad Sipe each drove in a run for the Panthers, who finished the season 10-10.
North hosts 3A game
North Hagerstown will meet Linganore today in a Maryland Class 3A West Region game at 4:30.
On Monday, Linganore defeated Thomas Johnson 1-0 in 12 innings, a game that was resumed from Friday.
Broadfording 14, Grace 12
Christian Kehr had three hits to lead Broadfording Christian past Grace Academy in the quarterfinals of the Mason Dixon Christian Conference Tournament.
Trevor Snodderly, Bret Fogle, Andrew Grimm, Dylan Saylor and Austin Dominguez had two hits each for the Lions (5-9).
Cole Helman had four hits, including three doubles for the Knights.
Heritage Academy will host Broadfording in the semifinals Thursday at 4:30.
Sidwell Friends 4, Saint James 0
ST. JAMES — Saint James hosted its first Mid-Atlantic Conference Tournament game but were shutout in the quarterfinals by Sidwell Friends (7-18).
Patrick Morris had a double and Bobby Brennan, Nico Gentile and Brett Vitkun each had a hit for Saint James who finish the season 13-10.
Waynesboro 1, Northern York 0
WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Cole Warrenfeltz scored the winning run on John Barr’s RBI triple in the fourth to lead Waynesboro past Northern York.
Dylan Bryan hurled a 3-hitter with 14 strikeouts to record the shutout for the Indians (16-3).
