Volleyball: Player, Coach of the Year
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
BAILEY WEBSTER, ST. PAUL'S
Hitter
The junior led St. Paul's to a 22-1 record and the
Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference and
private schools championships.Webster, 6 feet 3, is
being heavily recruited by major Division I volleyball
programs, and is being considered for the Gatorade
National Player of the Year award.
Webster finished the year with 472 kills, an average
of 6.38 kills per game. She had the ability to take over a
game with her tremendous vertical leap and also
contributed 50 blocks and 32 aces.
When the Gators needed a spark, they often got it
from Webster. In the IAAM title game, she contributed
25 kills and three blocks in a three-game sweep of
Archbishop Spalding, the only team to beat the Gators
during the regular season. She added 34 kills, three
blocks and 11 digs in a 3-1 win over Good Counsel for
the private schools crown.
"I've been coaching for a long time, and Bailey is a
once-in-a-lifetime player for me," St. Paul's coach Kelli
Wilkinson said. "She's a great student, and the things
she's accomplished this year in volleyball are truly
amazing."

"I believe that you have to make it fun for the girls," Beans said. "We've accomplished so much, and this year's team was very special. I am very fortunate to be in the situation that I'm in and to be blessed with these girls."
