Agorsor led top-ranked McDonogh to two wins last week to clinch the regular-season title and top seed in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference.
In a 3-0 victory over No. 12 Loyola, Agorsor had a goal and an assist. Two days later in a 3-0 win over Gilman, Agorsor scored twice and had an assist to increase his season totals to 21 goals and six assists in 11 games. Agorsor, who is considered by some soccer observers to be the best youth player in the nation, has missed 10 games with a hip flexor.
In three seasons at McDonogh, Agorsor has scored 47 goals. Last year, he was named an Adidas All-American, All-Metro, All-State, All-South and Maryland State Player of the Year.
Agorsor is in France as the only high school player on the U.S. under-20 national team. He is a junior but is graduating early from McDonogh with a 3.9 grade point average. He has a scholarship to Virginia but is considering playing professionally overseas.
Others considered: Tom Caso, McDonogh, soccer; Dan Griffin, North Harford, football; Chris Quaima, Mount St. Joseph, soccer; Lee Reynolds, Poly, football; Jimmy Thomas, Archbishop Spalding, football.
