Odocha led the Raiders (7-3) into the Class 3A East regional playoffs, where they are the fourth seed. The senior running back ran for 260 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries and added a pair of two-point conversions in a 48-27 romp over Hammond to seal the postseason berth.
The speedy Odocha, who is 5 feet 8 and 170 pounds, scored on runs of 20, 22, 15 and 2 yards in the win over Hammond on Friday.
For the season, Odocha has 1,929 rushing yards on 227 attempts, an average of 8.5 yards per carry, and 19 touchdowns. Odocha also has one receiving touchdown and four two-point conversions for 128 total points.
A Junior ROTC participant with a 3.26 grade point average, Odocha, who has a student pilot's license, will attend West Point, where he will play football and run track for Army.
Odocha plans to major in mechanical engineering.
