Performer of the Year

LIZ MCCARTER Mount Hebron The Syracuse-bound senior capped off a stellar high school career with another outstanding season. She swept the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 in the county and regional meets.

Unbeatable for much of the season, McCarter concluded the year by winning the 800 and 3,200 in Class 3A at the state meet. She also took second in the 1,600.

Coach of the Year

RAYMONA REID Hammond Reid led the Golden Bears to a surprisingly successful season.A young team, Hammond came a long way in a short time.

Hammond finished third at the Class 2A state meet, staying close to the top the entire time. The Golden Bears should be able to build on this success next season.
