The senior came to Meade this school year after a stellar junior season at Glen Burnie and picked up right where he left off.

Murdock helped No. 2 Meade win the Class 3A state championship. He came in second in both the 55- and 300-meter runs at the state meet.

He also ran on relays and then wrapped up his season in style at the recent National Scholastic meet in New York by taking second in the 55 and third in the 200. The versatile Murdock was ranked in the top six nationally in the 55, 60, 200 and 300.

Nigel Holder
Meade

Holder helped the Mustangs win the Class 3A state title after guiding them to the Class 4A crown in outdoor track last spring. Meade had a solid group of athletes, led by Justin Murdock, Anya Uzoh, Matt Brinkley and Dahmar Smiles, and captured the state title despite winning just one event.

Holder has done a nice job of developing his athletes, and his passion often inspired the team.
