    <description> The senior scored five goals in Saturday&apos;s Class 2A-1A state semifinal against Parkside, inluding the game-winner in the second overtime for a 14-13 win that sent the Cougars to Tuesday&apos;s championship against Winters Mill. In her third year on varsity, Nolan has led the team in scoring the past two seasons. After finishing with 53 goals and 39 assists last season, she went into the championship game with 60 goals and 63 assists this spring. In the Cougars&apos; 20-4 region semifinal win over Havre de Grace, she had five goals and two assists, then followed that with four goals and two assists in Wednesday&apos;s 18-8 win over Patterson Mill for the region crown. After scoring the eventual game-winner Saturday, she also won the final draw to ensure the win.     <description> On Friday, the junior won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference individual tennis title, beating McDonogh&apos;s Jake Gober, 6-3, 6-1. That performance came after Portner won at No.1 singles and No.1 doubles in leading the Gaels to their first team tennis championship since 1984, when they played in the Maryland Scholastic Association. Portner is a lefty who hits a heavy ball with lots of topspin, and he&apos;s smart on and off the court. He carries a 4.0 GPA and is in contact with Ivy League schools.
