Host No. 11 Perry Hall used stingy defense to limit No. 2 McDonogh's scoring chances Saturday in boys soccer.
But, when the opportunity came, the Eagles (1-0) went to a set piece as George Campbell crossed the ball to Brett Ebel, who headed in the game-winner with 31 minutes left in the first half, and McDonogh held on to win, 1-0.

Devinn Fisher had 15 carries for 160 yards and one touchdown at the visiting Huskies (1-0) shut out the Bayhawks (0-1).
John Carroll 51, Bohemia Manor 14:
Austin Marley caught two touchdown passes and the host Patriots (1-0) scored 30 points in the second quarter.
