Seven locals are among about 200 players participating in USA Football's National Development Games this week at Towson.

The incoming high school juniors and seniors will practice and play games throughout the instructional week, but are also competing for a spot on the U.S. National Team. USA Football assembles and manages U.S. national teams for international competition.

Players compete in a 7-on-7 tournament, scrimmages and full-length games. Those selected will compete at the International Bowl Week in February. Team USA will play Team Canada in Dallas.

Patrick Kelly (South Carroll), Jadan Blue (Mount St. Joseph), D'juan Moore, Sean Brunson Jr. (Poly), Colin Knott (Loyola), Khari Hill (Perry Hall) and Marcus Fogle (Severna Park) are participating this week. Eleven other players from Maryland are also competing.

Because the development games are not an all-star event, college coaches can attend and provide instruction throughout the week.
