The pairings for next weekend’s regional football finals are now official, with 15 local teams aiming for the ultimate goal of the state championships that will be decided Dec. 5, 6 and 7 at M&T Bank Stadium.

Three defending champions are in the field after Henry A. Wise fell in the Class 4A semifinals. River Hill in 3A and Middletown in 2A are still alive, along with defending 1A champion Dunbar, which is now in 2A. 

Seven teams remain undefeated: Suitland in 4A, Fallston, Middletown, Patuxent and Gwynn Park in 2A; and Douglass-Baltimore and Fort Hill in 1A. The 2A South final is ithe only one to feature two unbeaten teams, Patuxent and Gwynn Park.
