The showdown between two of Anne Arundel County's top football teams — No. 11 Arundel and host No. 4 Old Mill — was postponed Thursday because of thunderstorms. All other games in the county were also postponed and will be made up at 4 p.m. Friday.
Many public school football games around the state were scheduled for Thursday this week because the Yom Kippur holiday begins at sundown Friday.
Old Mill athletic director Craig White said the teams will be able to play at 4 p.m. Friday because the game will end before sundown. Teams would face a short week next week if the games were postponed until Monday.
Other games postponed include No. 3 Meade at South River and Broadneck at Annapolis.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
