Mount Saint Joseph senior midfielder Drew Smith has committed to play soccer at Coastal Carolina University next year. Smith, who also plays club ball for Pipeline Soccer Club, plans to major in marketing.
"Drew is a tremendous person and soccer player. We are very proud of all the work and dedication he has shown in his past four years at Mount Saint Joseph," Gaels coach Mike St. Martin said. "We are looking forward to following him as he continues both his academic and athletic careers."
Coastal Carolina is a Division I program that competes in the Big South Conference. The Chanticleers are 11-2 this season and are ranked No. 20 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's poll.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
