Mount St. Joe's Kyle Doran suspended one game after hard foul in Sunday's MIAA A title game

Mount St. Joseph senior forward Kyle Doran received a one-game suspension after his flagrant foul in the closing seconds of the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship game Sunday against St. Frances.

Doran -- who was ejected from Sunday's game -- will not play in Friday's Baltimore Catholic League quarterfinal game when the No. 2 Gaels face St. Maria Goretti.

Mount St. Joseph was leading 68-56 in the closing seconds when Doran strongly contested a drive to the basket by St. Frances guard Jared Hamilton, who landed hard on the floor.

After MIAA and BCL reviewed the play, it was decided that Doran would be suspended one game for the infraction.

Hamilton injured his wrist but is expected to play when the Panthers take on Mount Carmel in Friday's BCL quarterfinals.
