McDonogh soccer standout Connor Smith is making his second stint training with the U.S. under-18 men's national team this week in Carson, Calif.
Smith, a junior midfielder who was one of 36 players invited to the workouts, also attended a weeklong camp in July. This camp began on Sept. 22 and runs through Sept. 29 at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center.
Smith, who plays for the Baltimore Celtic Soccer Club and has committed to Maryland, has four goals and five assists this season in helping the No. 1 Eagles to a 8-0 mark.
