Marriotts Ridge soccer star Amir Najib, an All-Metro first-team midfielder, has committed to play at Old Dominion University.
Najib, a four-year varsity player and team captain, finished with a Howard County-high 21 goals and 10 assists for the Mustangs last fall. He was named Howard County Player of the Year, first-team All-state and All-South region.
He was part of three straight state title teams before the Mustangs were knocked out of the region playoffs by county rival Oakland Mills this past season.
