Week Two of the high school football season featured more big runs and more prolific passing as well as a many-year winning streak brought to an end. Here are some of the numbers that stood out from this past weekend's action:
Overtime games in its last three outings for Old Mill, which needed extra time to beat Severna Park, 20-14, Friday, and won the Class 4A state title last December, 36-35, over Quince Orchard
Interceptions by Loyola in its 34-15 win over Valley Forge, Pa.
Sacks for Gilman tackle Henry Poggi in a 13-6 win over Don Bosco Prep, N.J.
Touchdowns scored by Reginald Lewis’ Donnie Neal – a school record – in a 48-0 win over Ben Franklin
Touchdowns scored this season by Century’s Tyrice Rock – all but one of his team’s total
Undefeated teams left in The Baltimore Sun’s Top 15 – River Hill, Arundel, Old Mill, Catonsville, Westminster, South River, Atholton and Curley
Passing touchdowns by South River’s Connor Cox in two games
Straight wins for Old Mill, the Baltimore metro area’s longest active streak
Fourth-quarter points scored by Westminster in a comeback 35-21 win over Urbana
