For the second week in a row, the area's longest active winning streak ended, and the team with this season's best record now owns the longest streak.

One player set a county record. Several teams needed last-minute heroics to win their games.

Week Eight included perhaps more big plays and upsets than any week this season -- a fitting example of just how close we're getting to the end of the regular season.

Here’s a look at some of the significant stats from last weekend’s action:
