The matchups are set for the opening round of the girls basketball regional playoffs after Sunday's draw. The top four teams were seeded in each region with the rest of the bracket filled out by blind draw.

Games are scheduled to begin Friday, but times likely will not be finalized until Tuesday.

Perhaps the most intriguing first-round matchup involving local teams is in Class 3A North where City did not have the luck of the draw. The Knights drew the 15th spot sending them to meet second-seeded Milford Mill, setting up a rare first-round meeting between two teams ranked in The Baltimore Sun.

The Knights (17-5) are ranked No. 11 and the undefeated Millers are No. 15. This could also be a showdown between Baltimore City and Baltimore County champions. Milford Mill won the county titile Friday night and the Knights will play No. 3 Poly in Wednesday night's city title game.
