Digital Harbor repeats as Baltimore City wrestling champion

Digital Harbor defended its Baltimore City wrestling championship on Saturday, narrowly defeating host Poly, 197 to 193. The two teams were tied entering the championship round, with each placing four wrestlers in the finals.

Digital Harbor’s DeAndre Reed, who is undefeated this season, extended his string by beating Kevin Davenport of Poly in a major decision, 18-6.

Darius Thorpe of Southwestern was the only repeat champion, defeating Patterson's Daniel Paul in a major decision, 16-3, at 103 pounds.

At 170 pounds, Poly’s Corey Jones upset defending champion Monteze Durant of Carver, 11-6.
