City senior guard Timmy Bond, who earned All-Metro first-team honors after helping lead the No. 1 Knights (27-0) to the Class 3A state championship, committed Sunday night to play basketball at Eastern Michigan.
Bond originally signed to play at Jacksonville University, but he de-committed after the program didn't renew the contract of head coach Cliff Warren earlier this month.
The versatile 6-foot-5 Bond, a three-year starter, averaged 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game this season. Defensively, he averages six steals and three blocked shots.
In the Knights' state title win over Westlake, Bond finished with a game-high 16 points and was 4-for-5 on 3 point attempts.
